Brief DescriptionAirport Engineer – Cork AirportWork Schedule:4 days on / 4 days off, 04:00 – 16:00, plus on-call dutiesRole OverviewAs an Airport Engineer at Cork Airport, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and continuity of the airport's passenger processing systems. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues—ranging from routine faults to complex problems requiring specialist expertise—within a fast-paced, operational environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide continuous operational support for all components of the airport passenger processing systems.Perform regular routine and preventative maintenance on a wide range of passenger processing equipment.Respond to customer incidents and service requests logged via the Global Service Desk, resolving issues within agreed SLAs.Troubleshoot and resolve airline host, application, and connectivity issues.Maintain clear and consistent communication with colleagues, senior staff, and the Global Service Desk, providing timely progress updates on incidents.Resolve escalated issues from Airport Technicians promptly to ensure customer SLAs are met.Identify required spare parts and notify the Global Service Desk to support accurate incident tracking and resolution.Conduct regular "floor-walking" and proactive line-of-sight checks to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.RequirementsRequired Experience & SkillsStrong knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft desktop software.Understanding of network protocols, server hardware, and system configurations, or relevant IT qualifications.CompTIA A+ certification (desirable).Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn in a dynamic operational environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.About ESP Global ServicesESP Global Services is a leading provider of customised, 24/7 IT support solutions for the aviation industry.
