Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the daily management of the kitchen.
* Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
* Oversee the daily operation of a specific kitchen station, ensuring quality and consistency of dishes.
* Manage the preparation of mise en place as required.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen.
* Coordinate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
* Assist in menu planning and development, making recommendations for new dishes and specials.
* Keep equipment costs low and manage maintenance and service programs for your section.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment, preferably at Chef de Partie or higher.
* Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and the ability to work with various ingredients and equipment.
* Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
* A true passion for food, customer service, and teamwork.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality presentation.
* Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
