Field-Based Installation and Calibration Engineer
This is a field-based role that involves national travel, with occasional overnight stays. The successful candidate will support the installation, maintenance, and service of advanced equipment across the UK.
We are seeking a skilled Installation and Calibration Engineer to join our team, who has a strong technical background and enjoys working hands-on in the field, solving problems, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation & Calibration: Installing machine control systems on a range of construction equipment, including dozers, excavators, and graders.
* Service & Support: Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment at customer sites.
* Training: Providing operational training to end users, ensuring effective equipment use.
* Collaboration: Working closely with team leaders to plan and deliver high-quality installations and services.
* Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of installations and service activities.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proficient in AutoCAD or similar systems.
* Background in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic engineering (vocational qualification preferred).
* Familiarity with construction equipment and site operations is an advantage.
* Experience in diagnosing hydraulic and electrical issues on heavy machinery.
* Strong understanding of safety standards (e.g., IOSH, CSCS certification).
* Basic IT skills, including MS Office and digital tools for technical research.
