Role Overview
A Senior Mechanical Engineer is required to support the delivery of mechanical building services on pharmaceutical and life sciences construction projects in Dublin.
The role will involve overseeing mechanical installation activities on site, supporting project management teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, in line with programme and to the required quality standards.
This position suits an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in pharmaceutical or life sciences construction who is comfortable operating in regulated environments and coordinating complex mechanical systems on live projects.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee mechanical installation works on pharmaceutical and life sciences projects from early construction through to commissioning and handover
Coordinate mechanical subcontractors and site teams to ensure works progress in line with programme
Manage technical queries, RFIs and interface coordination with design teams and other disciplines
Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and industry standards
Support testing, commissioning and validation activities in line with project requirements
Track progress on site and report on mechanical status to project and client teams
Assist with procurement, materials management and short-term planning
Promote and maintain a strong safety and quality culture across mechanical works on site
Requirements
Degree or trade background in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
Proven experience working as a Mechanical Engineer or Senior Mechanical Engineer on pharmaceutical or life sciences construction projects
Strong understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC, process piping and cleanroom services
Experience working within regulated environments and quality-driven projects
Ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage site-based mechanical activities
Strong communication and coordination skills
Package
Salary circa €75,000 to €85,000 depending on experience
