The Wright Group are growing our pastry team to cater to our rapidly expanding collection of beautiful cafes. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Chef with a strong production background to join our team. This role focuses on high-volume pastry production, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all baked goods. This is a morning shift position, predominantly Monday to Friday, making it ideal for candidates seeking work‑life balance while working in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and produce a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods in a high-volume production setting
Follow recipes and specifications to maintain consistency and quality standards
Manage daily production schedules to meet business demands
Ensure all products are produced efficiently within set timeframes
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients when required
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry kitchen in line with food safety standards (HACCP)
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support overall operations
Contribute ideas for new products, seasonal items, or menu improvements
Requirements
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker in a production environment
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking processes, and ingredient handling
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during early morning shifts
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
