About the Company
Our client is a leading food manufacturing company based in Cork, known for high-quality products and a commitment to operational excellence.
The Role
As Shift Production Manager, you will oversee all production operations during the designated shift, managing a team of 20+ staff. You will be the most senior person on site during this period, ensuring smooth operations, meeting production targets, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the evening shift team to achieve production targets.
* Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and health & safety regulations.
* Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
* Manage staff performance, including conducting disciplinaries and addressing HR matters.
* Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
* Monitor KPIs, report on performance, and implement corrective actions.
Key Requirements
* Experience in a production management role within the food industry.
* Strong people management skills, including handling disciplinaries.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to work independently as the most senior person on site.
