Job Description
The successful candidate will support automation components of the manufacturing process with a strong focus on robotic and AGV applications. They will continually enrich operator interfaces, eliminate hazardous processes, and drive continuous safety improvement.
Main Responsibilities:
* Participate in the automation project team to build turnkey automated cells using the onsite Automation center of excellence.
* Provide PLC support for running and maintaining automated cells in production.
* Sustain a culture of continuous improvement and A3 problem solving to achieve Automated Cell Takt time.
* Ensure compliance with SOPs and technical documentation.
* Engage with EH&S Risk Assessments, PFMEA, and comply with TT BOS.
* Support systems for site backups, images, disaster recovery, procedures, cyber security, and data integrity.
* Install and integrate new or upgraded equipment into operations.
* Develop solutions for automation problems and demonstrate problem-solving abilities.
* Generate and execute documents such as User Requirements Specifications, Design Specifications, FAT, SAT, Operating Manuals.
* Implement change and execute strategic initiatives with a can-do attitude.
* Communicate effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and partners.
* Demonstrate self-motivation, take ownership, and strive for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Controls, Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar fields.
* Over 5 years' experience in an automated environment with a proven track record of success.
* Proficiency in Rockwell and Siemens PLCs, including safety versions, and experience with TIA portal software and RS Logix or Studio 5000.
* Familiarity with FANUC and ABB robot integration.
* Knowledge of EtherNet/IP, ProfiNet, and ASi communication networks.
* Design and implementation of control systems, including safety-related systems.
* Familiarity with EN standards and regulations.
* Business case development and stakeholder communication skills.
