Job Description: IT Support and AV Specialist based in Galway, Ireland, 5 days onsite.About the roleThis role is vital to operational support, planning infrastructure changes with our central teams, creating, and maintaining documentation of all infrastructure and disaster recovery procedures, developing business process improvements for our support organisation. The role is broad in scope and encompasses all areas of IT, alongside standard operational topics. Current projects include improving and developing our AV standards, meeting room documentation, developing IT supports using IoT and emerging tech, and using the O365 Power suite applications and automation for critical business processes. The role offers an opportunity to join a unique team committed to diversity, equity and inclusion while developing skills in project management, operational management and other areas of IT.What you will be doingEvent support and management of Meeting Room Technologies locally through process automation, tool development, testing, training and documentation related to AV and Unified Communications.Assist the team with the administration of IT operations through process automation and O365 suites of applications.Project management, infrastructure support and administration, taking on relevant projects and driving them to successful completion.Process improvement and innovation, using Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Places and O365 development.Build reporting, documentation and applications to enhance processes and transfer of knowledge to team and the business.Knowledge transfer to team members and the business.Produce comprehensive documentation for deployed systems and changes.Collaborate with 3rd level technical teams to ensure project completion.Build action plans to improve experience, processes, and product innovation.Drive improvements within 2nd Level IT Support using new technologies, automation, agile methodologies and analytics to improve overall end‑user experience.Foster collaborative relationships with other functions across SAP and 3rd party vendors.Monitor effectiveness of vendors, support procedures & escalates issues.Provide a stable IT environment to the local business to ensure continuity of the IT services and act as an IT contact for all local topics.Manage digital signage.General IT related troubleshooting, disaster recovery planning and testing.Plan, design, document, order, implement and lead installation projects, working with external vendors.What you’ll needFluency in written and spoken English with excellent communication skills for a technical environment (CEFR C2 minimum).Strong AV support experience and experience in meeting room technologies (2 years or more).IT Support experience (2 years or more).Strong competence with various job-relevant tools & processes.Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively to lead and drive successful implementation/adoption of IT services.Technical leadership experience including excellent customer focus.Strong computing skills, oriented towards Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, SharePoint and the Office 365 Power suite.General IT knowledge on different technical areas with a high degree of technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Employee BenefitsCompetitive remuneration package with flexible benefits, including the option to "flex up and down" on specific benefits (e.g., buy or sell annual leave, Private Medical Benefit, Dental and Travel Insurance).Access to ‘Perks at Work’, a discount store for gift cards and discounts on holidays, restaurants, activities, groceries and more.
