Reporting to the SAP Applications Manager, the SAP Team Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the workload of several SAP analysts, ensuring all requests and workload associated with supporting SAP applications for our business is delivered to high standards, within agreed timeframes and meeting business expectations.Key Responsibilities Of The RoleOversee the workload of all SAP analysts, providing guidance on task challenges and advising on functional best practiceCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements, supporting the analysts translate these into SAP technical responsesEnsure all business requests are assigned to the appropriate analystConduct, at a minimum, weekly reviews of team workload to ensure adequate progress on activitiesPoint of escalation for team members and businessCoordinate CAB meetings with responsibility for approvals of transportsEnforce team processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with sameOversee and ensure completion of system upgradesContribute to testing and validate during release cycles for ECC6Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process/procedural improvementResponsible for team performance management including defining individual annual performance goals, support analysts on their individual continuous development, conducting regular 1:1 engagement on performance, and addressing underperformanceManage team planned and unplanned leave requests, ensuring adequate resourcing to deliver on business needsProactively identify opportunities to upskills in S4 HANA knowledge for self and team, sharing insights with relevant business users as appropriateHands-on management of SI, ensuring appropriate utilisation of support hours and coordinate monthly performance reviewsSupport SAP Applications Manager in contract renewals of SI's and SAP licencing agreementsSupport the completion of team workload during times of heightened volumes and/or unexpected leaves of absencesEssential Criteria Of The Role6-7 years' experience as an SAP analystStrong functional knowledge across ECC6 modulesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring delivery timelines are not compromisedExcellent collaboration skills with ability to engage with stakeholders of all disciplines and seniorityAbility to effectively address escalations and conflictStrong problem-solving and analytics skillsDesirable CriteriaPrevious people management is deemed an advantage, but not essentialExperience or exposure of S4 HANA a distinct advantageExposure or knowledge of SAP Cloud AnalyticsUnderstand of project managementMercury is an equal opportunities employerApply Now
