O'Toole Transport is currently recruiting a Fleet Planner to join our team in Dublin 15. This is a critical role within our maintenance and fleet operations department, supporting the smooth running of our daily logistics activities.The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-focused, and experienced in coordinating fleet schedules, maintenance records, and garage activity. You will work closely with drivers, dispatch, planning teams, and mechanics to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, compliant, and available as required.Key Responsibilities:Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, including CVRT testing, servicing, and repairs, to minimise vehicle downtime.Maintain accurate records of work orders, technician assignments, and external workshop activities.Monitor and order inventory and parts, ensuring critical stock is available for repairs.Liaise daily with drivers, dispatch, and planners to communicate vehicle availability and downtime.Respond to emergency breakdowns, coordinating swift recovery or repairs.Maintain and update mechanic rosters and vehicle allocation logs.Ensure accurate input of maintenance records in the Transport Management System (TMS) and support compliance reporting.Coordinate warranty, contract maintenance, and third-party servicing as required.Support overall fleet compliance including tachograph calibration, vehicle licensing, and environmental regulations.What We're Looking For:Previous experience in a fleet, transport, or garage planning role preferred.Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.Proficient in Excel and fleet/maintenance systems (experience with TMS a plus).Excellent communicator, capable of working cross-functionally with mechanics, drivers, and planners.Proactive mindset with a focus on keeping operations running efficiently and safely.Why Join Us?At O'Toole Transport, you'll be part of a family-run business with over 30 years of experience in transport and logistics.
