A well-established and innovative manufacturing company is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the South & West of Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional with a strong network in the Construction and/or Engineering sectors to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the Construction and Engineering sectors.
2. Identify and secure new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation.
3. Develop and execute strategic business development plans for key accounts.
4. Maintain a healthy sales pipeline aligned with production and supply chain teams.
5. Become an expert in the company's value proposition, products, and services to maximise upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
6. Accurately update CRM and ERP systems with enquiries, quotes, and orders.
7. Provide monthly performance reports to senior leadership.
8. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
9. Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.
Candidate Requirements:
10. Minimum 3 years' experience in a Business Development role within the Construction or Engineering sectors.
11. Proven success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
12. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
13. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with a proactive and customer-focused mindset.
14. Excellent communicator with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly.
15. Collaborative team player with cross-functional communication skills.
16. Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
17. Professional, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
18. Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP systems.
