Social Care Workers ASD SPECIFIC DAY SERVICES 35 hours per week Permanent and Relief contracts available Dublin Area St. Michael's House is a community based organisation committed to providing a quality person centred service and high standard of living to people with an intellectual disability in the greater Dublin area. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a skilled and responsive staff team to deliver a high quality service for three young people. Working closely with the Social Care Leader, multi disciplinary team and families, the key task is to provide positive behaviour and person centred supports to ensure a good quality of life for these three young people. Experience of promoting community inclusion and active participation. Experience providing individuals with positive behaviour supports Experience working with families, clinicians and other networks of support Possess excellent communication skills Have experience of implementing positive behaviour support programmes. Have experience of a key working role, focusing on promoting independence and community integration. Experience working directly with people presenting with ASD preferred. Essential Qualifications Required for Social Care Workers: Hold one of the HSE approved qualification- see below if you dont hold 1 of the below you will not be shortlisted. The successful Social Care Worker candidates must have the following QQI Level 7 Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies (Disability) - Open Training College. Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies delivered by TUD, Institute of Technology, DIT or National University of Ireland. A qualification received outside the State recognised by NARIC as equivalent to the Irish Level 7 award. Be CORU registered or have proof of application. Social Care Worker Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with the June 2026 HSE revised consolidated Social Care Worker pay scale (point 1; €41,260 point 12; €57,789 per annum based on working a 39 hour week).
