This position is a full-time 2 year contract on our graduate programme based in Waterford, Ireland.
Bausch + Lomb Waterford are excited to announce there is an opening for an Automation Graduates to join the Engineering function.
Applicant's should possess a real passion for Automation & Controls and an interest in working in a high volume fast paced manufacturing environment as well as the desire to build their leadership skills.
During your two years on the Programme, you will gain insight into the challenges and opportunities facing our businesses and our people within automation.
You will have real responsibility and will play a key role in strategic projects and initiatives.
You will work with and learn from great people and develop your expertise in the Engineering Department.
You will be provided with a dedicated mentor throughout the programme and will be given the opportunity to network with other graduates in Bausch + Lomb and the South East Region.
In addition you will go on an internal secondment in the first year and in the second year on a 2 – 4 week international assignment.
Responsibilities
Provide support in troubleshooting and implementing changes to automated systems including but not limited to: Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces, Laser, Vision and Robotic systems.
Complete validation documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal quality standards.
Support manufacturing equipment to ensure KPIs are met such as yield, throughput and productivity.
Enable and engage continuous improvement efforts throughout the site.
Liaise cross functionally to support the management of introduction of equipment or processes and provide operational support to ensure plant goals are met
Implement systems to improve monitoring and reporting of daily, weekly KPI's
Qualifications
Minimum 2.1 degree in Automation / Electronic / Mechatronic / Engineering
Good problem solving & analytical skills
Previous experiences in PLC, HMI and high-level programming development i.e., C, C#/ASP.NET an advantage
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Ability to work well within a team and on own initiatives
