Depositary Operations Consultant
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Depositary Operations Consultant to join our team at Matrix Recruitment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting regulatory compliance under AIFMD and UCITS requirements, focusing on asset safekeeping and verification.
This is a 12 month contract role with some possibility of other opportunities or extensions coming up at the end of the contract. The role offers a hybrid working model.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
* Review and approve work carried out by colleagues to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Prepare and deliver monthly reports to internal stakeholders and external clients in line with regulatory timelines.
* Perform and review asset verification tasks, gathering appropriate documentation to confirm ownership of other assets.
* Lead or participate in quarterly meetings with relevant stakeholders to support governance requirements.
* Review exposure reports related to market oversight, including restricted and watch markets across various jurisdictions.
* Support the implementation of process changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Absorb current procedures, identify potential gaps, and suggest enhancements.
* Contribute to ensuring departmental governance standards are maintained.
* Assist in the integration of new clients and the onboarding of newly launched funds into operational workflows.
About You:
* Minimum 3 years experience in fund administration or a related area, preferably with exposure to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate, or debt.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and organisational skills.
* Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Flexible and proactive approach to evolving business needs.
* Strong multitasking and problem-solving capabilities.
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
* Prior experience in process or system testing is desirable.
