Overview
The role leads the Franchise COE agenda in the region, building Franchise Capabilities and mitigating risk through Governance.
* Leads the deployment of the Franchise Capability agenda in the region.
* Leadership & coordination of the region Governance agenda.
* Facilitates regional Bottler engagement Processes (3YR JP & Bottler Forums).
Responsibilities
1. Franchise Capability & Processes
9 Franchise Fundamentals / Franchise AOP
* Lead the development of the Region Franchise AOP and Calendar of activity.
* Coordination of Annual 9Fs assessment, track and analyse performance against 9FFs and recommend action plans for inclusion in AOP.
* Ensure execution of the Franchise Calendar (IFC, SSA, JBP, BDA, AOP, COOP).
Franchise Capability
* Coordination of IB learning Pathway local deployment (Experiencing Franchise).
* Ensure proper on boarding process and training is in place for new joiners.
* Lead capability build for Region Franchise population (9FFs, Exp Fr, TSE, …etc.).
Franchise Community
* Lead Monthly Franchise Leadership Team Meeting.
* Ensure franchise functional community and best practice sharing in region Franchise.
* Coordination of Knowledge Sharing – providing input to IB and acting as conduit for Region Bus to identify appropriate BPs for Bottlers.
* Coordination of Region attendees at Global Forums (IFC, IBC etc).
Reward & Recognition – coordination of Region nominations and Region winners for the following Programs
* Bottler of the Year.
* FAME (Franchise Awards for Market Excellence).
* Ring Of Honor.
2. Governance
* Mitigates risk to PepsiCo by ensuring the Concentrate Model is not compromised through poor Governance.
* Own the Governance calendar, ensuring all Renewals are addressed in timely manner.
* Own the scheduling and planning of the Region Governance Council, ensuring BUs are prepared to address relevant Checkpoints using the correct materials as per Governance.
Council Templates
* Partner with Legal/Finance/Marketing/Control in reviewing and updating existing processes.
3. Bottler Engagement
Joint Planning / Aligning the System
* Coordination of System Strategic Assessment (SSA) completion from Business Units.
* Scheduling Three Year Joint Planning Sessions with Top Bottlers in Region, including securing Sector Cross-Functional attendance.
* Facilitation of 3YR JP meeting so that Franchise lead can fully participate.
Bottler Community Inclusion
* Ensure bottler network is engaged in PEP’s agenda through strengthening ties and enhancing the relationship with the bottler through.
* Partnering with Global Franchise in Annual Bottler Conference as an agent for Region bottlers.
* Ownership of Region Bottler Forums (e.g. LATAM AOP, or AMESA ABC) Leading and managing Regional Bottler Conference to recognize success across different business pillars (Results, Capability & Sustainability) and promote PEP’s visions and plans.
* Coordination and preparation of materials for Bottler Top to Tops.
* Alignment of Bottler attendees for UEFA Champions League Final.
Qualifications
* 6–8 years of experience in the Franchise function, with direct accountability for bottler relationships and successful delivery of JBPs and AOPs.
* Extensive cross-market experience, with demonstrated ability to operate effectively in diverse cultural and business contexts ideally across MENA and/or SSA (or other regions).
* Deep expertise in leveraging the 9 Franchise Fundamentals (9FF) to drive strategic alignment, elevate execution, and unlock long-term value with bottling partners.
* Exceptional stakeholder leadership skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across functions, influence senior-level stakeholders, and drive alignment across Sector, Market Units, and bottlers.
* Strong enterprise thinking, capable of harmonizing competing agendas and shaping integrated franchise strategies that support both local market needs and sector priorities.
* Advanced communication and executive presence, with the ability to synthesize insights, shape compelling narratives, and influence decisions at the senior-most levels internally and externally.
* High agility and adaptability, able to navigate dynamic, matrixed environments and work across different bottler operating models and maturity levels.
* Strategic influencing capability, with a consistent track record of shaping outcomes and guiding system decisions through data, insight, and trust-based partnerships.
