Arboretum Leighlinbridge is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen team and help ensure the smooth operation of our award-winning café. This is a key role that keeps our kitchen clean, organised, and running efficiently throughout the day.
Your Role:
As a Kitchen Porter, you will play an essential part in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. Your main responsibilities will involve cleaning duties, dishwashing, waste management, and supporting the chefs and kitchen assistants as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all kitchen and dishwashing areas are kept clean and hygienic at all times
* Wash and sanitise all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial equipment
* Manage food waste, disposal and recycling, according to hygiene standards
* Assist with basic food prep and deliveries when required
* Support kitchen staff with general duties during busy service periods
* Maintain a safe and tidy working environment and follow all food safety regulations
What We're Looking For:
* A strong work ethic and willingness to take on physically demanding tasks
* Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail
* Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, but not essential
* Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays as required
* Commitment to hygiene, safety, and high standards
