Job Role

The Rents Coordinator will oversee the management of rental income and arrears, ensuring compliance with tenancy and licence agreements. They will also guarantee adherence to rent policies and procedures, staying up-to-date with relevant housing legislation and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor tenant rent accounts for arrears and flag concerns to the relevant housing teams.
2. Support the arrears recovery process by issuing letters and arrears statements in line with policy.
3. Ensure accurate documentation of all arrears correspondence, agreements and interventions.
4. Assist in preparing case files for escalation or legal proceedings, including RTB documentation where required.
5. Contribute to regular arrears reports and analysis for internal monitoring and governing purposes.
6. Support implementation of differential rent policies across schemes in collaboration with local authorities.
7. Verify contributions by reconciling monthly statements.
8. Monitor communication in relation to payments, applications etc. Responding to relevant queries and ensuring all necessary parties receive required information in a timely manner.
9. Manage CAS applications by recording and monitoring the status of the applications.
10. Reassess tenants' rent using appropriate income details & in line with PMVT policy.
11. Assist with Confidential Income Statement (CIS) processes on an annual basis.
12. Liaise with colleagues in Finance to ensure consistent reporting across PMVT.
13. Administration and maintenance of data systems, including inputting, preparing, and processing data and statistics as required.

The ideal candidate should have good time management skills, ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and ability to organise and prioritise a workload. At least two years of experience in a similar environment, excellent administration skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & CRM systems are preferred.
