We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Supervisor to join our team in Kildare.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment
Implement the company's Safety Statement and HSQE Management System on site.
Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure RAMS, SPAs, and permits are completed before work begins.
Monitor site safety, carry out regular inspections, and ensure prompt close-out of any actions raised.
Manage environmental controls, including waste handling, dust suppression, and pollution prevention.
Quality
Ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Identify and rectify any defects quickly to maintain quality compliance.
Support the Site Engineer and Site Agent in securing client sign-off and managing NCRs where required.
Programme & Delivery
Plan and coordinate daily site activities, plant, equipment, and subcontractors to meet production targets.
Monitor progress against the construction programme and report any issues or delays.
Participate in look-ahead meetings and assist in developing short-term plans to maintain progress.
Commercial & Reporting
Manage labour and materials efficiently to control costs and reduce waste.
Record daily site activities, manpower, plant usage, and materials in site diaries or returns.
Communicate progress and potential issues to the Site Agent or Project Manager in a timely manner.
People & Stakeholder Management
Supervise, motivate, and mentor site operatives to ensure safe and productive work practices.
Enforce compliance with site rules, procedures, and safety documentation.
Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives professionally and effectively.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience working in a civil or infrastructure construction environment.
Strong understanding and commitment to Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental, and cost management principles.
Completion of a Site Safety Supervisor course (or equivalent).
Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.
Full, clean Irish driving licence and legal right to work in Ireland.
Competent in preparing and managing RAMS, SPAs, and PowerApps inspections (or similar systems).
SLG/LUGS traffic management awareness and CSCS tickets.
Previous experience in roads, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
