The R
ole:
Customer Operations develop, deliver and support excellent customer experience and service to both domestic and non-domestic customers within a regulated industry. Customer Operations is responsible for managing the customer relationship with the Customer Contact Centre, ensuring timely and accurate customer billing services and effectively implementing the Uisce Eireann customer stra
tegy.
Connections and Developer Services (CDS) are responsible for the customer engagement and stakeholder relationship management of all connections to the Uisce Éireann network. The CDS team manage the customer journey from development concept design, statutory planning process, pre-connection, technical design, site quality assurance, vesting of new asset and final connection and metering, including developing commercial/technical customer agreements, and managing customer funding in adherence to all technical standards, connection charging policy and governance requirements. CDS are responsible for delivering a highly effective customer service, including reviewing, and implementing solutions to meet changing customer needs. Collaboration with several key business partners is essential for the successful delivery of connections on behalf of the cus
tomer.
Reporting to the Commercial Connections Technical Manager, the Commercial Technical Lead is responsible for budgeting, forecasting and commercial governance over the CDS Capital and Revenue Portfolio which includes Standard connections, Diversion, Taking in Charge and Group Water Schemes in line with all internal governance, Revenue Controls and Budgets and Strategic Funding Plan and aligning system integration improvements. This role is to provide governance and drive improvements for CDS operational KPI's and metrics across CDS pro
cesses.Main Duties and Responsibi
lities:
• Responsible for driving a high value focus and embedding consistency and rigour in all financial and performance analysis to enable effective decision
making.
• Drive performance management and continuous improvement
in CDS.
• Identify and resolve issues meeting KPI and SLA targets. Identify opportunities to improve performance across CDS processes and ensure successful impleme
ntation.
• Ensure audit controls are in place, operational, and ef
fective.
• Provide corporate planning, analysis, budgeting, and revenue forecasting, CRU and Department reporting to Uisce
Éireann.
• Responsible for ensuring financial governance and compliance controls are in place and oper
ational.
• Inform and influence strategic and operational decision making-through rigorous, fact-based a
nalysis.
• Liaise with Asset Management/Customer Operations/IDD/Legal/Finance/Economic Regulation to support to the CDS Commercial f
unction.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure process adherence and systems are updated accurately and in a timely
manner.
• Responsible for managing a team of analysts across financial performance, budgeting, forecasting and driving operational perf
ormance.
• Perform other such duties in relation to CDS and Customer Operations work as Uisce Éireann may reasonably
require.

Knowledge, Skills and
Experience:
• Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevan
t experience.
• A minimum of 5 years' Experience in the water, utilities or similar industries
is desirable.
• Demonstrated people management experience, with strong people, change management and conflict resol
ution skills.
• Relevant commercial experience and excellent data analysis, Excel, report writing, communication and present
ation skills.
• Experience analysing financial and operational data across enterprise systems used within CDS (e.g. D365, Maximo, C2
M, Power BI).
• Experience providing coaching in the development of the technical skills and abiliti
es in others.
• Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to del
iver results.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, propose and impleme
nt solutions.
• Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and
requirements.
• Proactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skil
l on the job.
• Demonstrated experience in setting measurable safety and well-being goals for a team. Background in implementing initiatives to improve safety and well-being standards, and identifying unsa
