Manager - Banking & Financial Services at Morgan McKinley

Head of Sales | Permanent | Dublin / hybrid

Our client is a leading Financial Services company within the automotive industry. They are seeking a Head of Sales to deliver their sales strategy. The Head of Sales will be tasked with generating loyalty and a profitable relationship between the client, the dealer, and group brands.

Responsibilities:

1. Drive Sales Strategy: Identify new sales opportunities and develop dealer incentivisation schemes.
2. Steer Sales Function: Develop sales performance, manage campaigns, design KPI reports, and optimize dealer visits.
3. Sales Support and Training: Ensure sales compliance and training.
4. Deliver annual sales KPIs for Dealer Sales and Direct Fleet channels, including volume, finance penetration, and margin management.
5. Manage relationships across company dealer network, internal departments, and external third parties.
6. Lead and develop the Sales, Direct Fleet, and Training Team through coaching, performance appraisals, and team meetings.
7. Oversee Dealer Sales and Direct Fleet performance, ensuring deviations from budget are managed.
8. Negotiate, manage, and deliver sales and planning targets with the Dealer Network.
9. Represent the Dealer as a customer and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
10. Establish business relationships with strategic fleet customers to develop loyalty and profitable long-term relationships.

Requirements:

1. 10 years of Sales Leadership experience in Financial Services, Insurance, or a similar environment.
2. Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate a diverse sales team.
3. Degree/MSc level education in Business, Marketing, or Sales discipline.
4. Assertive, proactive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
5. Innovative and critical thinker with the ability to develop sales programs and initiatives.
6. Proven track record in negotiation skills and ability to perform under pressure.
7. Meets the Minimum Competency Requirements as determined by the Central Bank of Ireland.
8. Experience working at the senior leadership level with strong collaboration skills.
9. Background in commercial, finance-risk, insurance, marketing, after-sales, and fleet management.
10. Experience in developing and rolling out Insurance Intermediary activities is desired but not required.
