Job Title: Sous Chef
Location: Galway, Ireland
A seasoned culinary leader is sought to support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management.
The Role:
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to oversee food production, team supervision, quality control, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
* Lead a skilled kitchen team during service and prep.
* Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes across all areas.
* Manage stock levels, ordering, and food cost control efficiently.
* Assist in creating new menu items and daily specials that meet customer expectations.
* Enforce food safety, cleanliness, and compliance with industry standards.
* Cultivate a collaborative, respectful, and efficient kitchen culture.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in a high-quality kitchen environment.
* Ability to motivate and lead a team in a fast-paced setting.
* Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, HACCP, and kitchen operations best practices.
* Creative approach to menu development and presentation.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Flexibility to work across various shifts including weekends.
* Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
