Lead the Global Direct Materials Category strategy and regional business needs. Key responsibilities include:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align category priorities with Procurement management.
• Negotiate supplier agreements, drive value through cost savings, cash flow improvement, and efficiency enhancements.
• Represent Global Procurement in organisational decisions impacting the organisation's success, efficiency, growth, and results.
• Demonstrate knowledge of efficient global procurement processes within the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Ensure compliance with GxPs and other applicable regulations.
• Manage a team of professionals responsible for category management tasks.
• Provide coaching and guidance on job performance and career development.
• Use data to drive decision-making for successful category projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive results in Direct Materials categories or related categories.
• Provide expert insight on rates, unit costs, and costing structures for optimal negotiations.
This role requires strong relationship building, analytical thinking skills, and technical knowledge within the biotech or pharmaceutical sector.
To be considered, you must hold a BA/BS degree in a relevant field with 17+ years of professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
