Job Title
The role of a Health and Safety Officer is pivotal in ensuring the well-being of employees and adherence to regulatory standards.
Working on a new-build project in Cork, this professional will be responsible for advising on compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting high standards of safety within the team.
* Conduct regular site audits and inspections, maintaining accurate records of statutory inspections.
* Advise on key safety-related topics, including noise levels and machinery use.
* Assist in drafting and communicating method statements, reviewing and updating existing policies according to legislation.
* Inspect premises and personnel work, identifying issues or non-conformities.
* Report incidents and near misses, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
Key Requirements
* Qualification in Health and Safety is essential.
* Minimum 1 year experience in an on-site Safety role, preferably with construction experience.
* Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications are required.
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently and innovatively.
* Legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
