OverviewA leading Irish property development and construction group, headquartered in Dublin and delivering large-scale projects across Ireland and Europe, is seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join its growing finance team. The company delivers complex projects across residential, commercial, civil and infrastructure developments, managing projects from early design and planning stages through to construction, commissioning and handover. Reporting to: Finance Director.ResponsibilitiesInvolvement in period-end close activities and preparation of management accounts, including P&L and Balance Sheet across multiple entities and jurisdictionsEnsuring balance sheets are fully reconciled on a regular basis, including intercompany movementsMaintaining integrity of bank reconciliations, payroll oversight and cashflow monitoring across projectsReconciling and reporting on key project and overhead costs within the P&L, with regular review meetings alongside budget holders and project leadsContinuous improvement of financial processes and internal controlsSupporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process across business units and projectsAssisting in the preparation of Statutory Financial Statements and liaising with external auditorsFinancial KPI reporting across project streams and presenting monthly reports to the Finance DirectorTimely provision of financial information for ad hoc requests from operational and commercial stakeholdersParticipation in finance improvement initiatives and supervision of junior finance team membersRequirementsQualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 3+ years PQE in a similar environmentStrong ability to communicate and collaborate with project managers, commercial teams and senior managementGood commercial awareness with an understanding of project-based cost managementAbility to deliver accurate reporting within tight deadlines using strong numerical analysisExperience building effective relationships across operational and finance teamsExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
