Job Summary
The phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing. This involves drawing blood from veins or capillaries using various techniques such as vacuum tube, syringe, or butterfly venipuncture methods.
* • Draw blood for tests, transfusions, donations, or research;
* • Explain the procedure to patients and assist in the recovery of patients with adverse reactions;
The successful candidate must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
