Job Title: Senior Cardiac Physiologist Location: Limerick Role: Permanent, Fulltime position.
Salary: As per the HSE PayScale Excel Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading hospital in Limerick to recruit a passionate and experienced Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join their expanding team.
We are looking for a motivated, experienced Cardiac Physiologist with proven expertise in both non-invasive and invasive cardiac diagnostics.
You'll be joining a dynamic and supportive team comprising 2 Chief Cardiac Physiologists and 3 Senior Cardiac Physiologists, with access to excellent facilities and opportunities for further development.
Overall purpose of job To provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality, respect, caring and compassion are at the centre of all they do.
Provide leadership in the performance of diagnostic tests of the cardiovascular systems to patients to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of the heart and blood vessel disorders and participate in the invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
Key Responsibilities: The Senior Cardiac Physiologist should be familiar with the techniques and range of equipment used in current medical practice for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients.
Reports directly into the Chief I Cardiac Physiologist Supervise the Cardiac Physiologists within the department.
Ensures clinical standards and standards of patient care are maintained.
Be responsible for the orientation and training needs of staff within the department.
Participate in staff evaluation and staff performance reviews Trains, supervises and conducts a full range of non-invasive diagnostic tests including Echo, ECG, Holter/BP monitoring, Stress ECG, Pacemaker and ICD follow-up and programming.
Possesses a strong knowledge of Non-Invasive diagnostic Cardiac procedures.
Has a complete understanding of all such procedures and an ability to make accurate measurements is essential.
Ability to effectively communicate with Consultants, GP's and hospital staff regarding patients' needs.
Ensures the timely production and delivery of patient procedures.
Maintains required departmental records.
Corrects delinquent medical records.
Assures that equipment is maintained according to manufacturers' specifications.
Reports any malfunctions as they occur per hospital policy.
Maintains and develops the Cardiology Policy and procedure manual.
Train new employees and assists in evaluating all cardiac physiologists.
Maintains a professional and courteous relationship with all hospital departments.
Requirements: B.Sc.
in Clinical Measurement Science or equivalent qualification.
A.S.C.S.T - Associate of The Society for Cardiological Science and Technology (UK) or equivalent.
Aim to sit the IBHRE/ BHRS exam in the future.
Possess Advanced Life Support.
Have 3 years post qualification experience with at least 1 years Echo experience.
Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage a high volume workload.
Demonstrate clinical competence and relevant experience in invasive and non-invasive Cardiology.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills Strong leadership skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
