Milford Care Centre, Limerick Serving the people of the Mid-West Milford Care Centre is a Section 38 organisation, working in partnership with the HSE Mid-West, and provides a comprehensive range of Specialist Palliative Care Services and Services for Older People across Counties Clare, Limerick, and North Tipperary.
WE ARE INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF Head of Education, Research and Quality (Grade VIII) Permanent - Full Time Category Essential Desirable Qualifications Postgraduate qualification (NFQ Level 9 or above) in Education, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline.
Registration (or eligibility for registration) with a relevant professional body (e.g.
NMBI, CORU).
Qualification in Quality, Risk, or Patient Safety Management (NFQ Level 8 or higher).
Experience in leading or participating in inspection or audit systems.
Experience Minimum five years' leadership experience in healthcare education, quality, or research.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
Experience developing and managing education or quality systems in healthcare.
Experience managing or overseeing mandatory training programs in line with HIQA or professional registration standards.
Experience in palliative care or older persons' services.
Experience in clinical or academic research and publication.
Knowledge of strategic planning and service development.
Knowledge Strong understanding of healthcare standards (HIQA, HSE frameworks, ISO, JCI).
Awareness of evidence-based practice and quality improvement principles.
Knowledge of policy development and implementation within healthcare education and quality.
Skills and Competencies Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of leading a quality service.
Excellent planning and organising skills.
Strong IT skills with learning/quality management systems experience.
Effective analytical skills, including evaluation of information, decision-making, and problem- solving skills.
Demonstrated project management ability.
Ability to influence and negotiate across teams.

Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required.
