Key Duties & Responsibilities
Produce and revise detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for bespoke architectural metalwork, modular systems, and OEM products.
Assist the estimating and sales teams with material take-offs, preliminary design reviews, cost estimates, and preparation of customer quotations.
Support project delivery by generating and managing works orders, bills of materials, and production documentation within Statii ERP.
Maintain accurate batch traceability, material allocations, drawing revisions, and production records in line with company quality procedures.
Record and allocate engineering and design hours accurately to projects to support commercial tracking and operational efficiency.
Liaise directly with customer design managers, architects, project managers, and internal production teams to coordinate technical requirements and resolve design queries.
Support the development and standardisation of modular and OEM product ranges through repeatable design systems, libraries, and lean engineering processes.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the design office, including document control, workflow optimisation, and design automation opportunities.
Participate in site visits, production reviews, and project coordination meetings to develop practical understanding of fabrication and installation processes.
Contribute to a collaborative, hands‑on engineering environment while developing technical, commercial, and project management skills across the business.
Skills-Based Competency Requirements
Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.
Working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD, with the ability to produce accurate technical drawings and 3D models.
Strong numerical and analytical ability, with an interest in estimating, costing, and manufacturing processes.
Good IT and administrative skills, with the ability to learn and operate ERP/MRP systems such as Statii.
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively across engineering, production, and commercial teams.
