We are committed to the highest standards of care and support for our customers and invest heavily to remain at the forefront of our industry.We are seeking Field Service Engineers to assist us with our all-inclusive medical and laboratory gas planning, design, maintenance and installation service. The successful applicants will be involved in preventative and reactive maintenance, playing a key role in service delivery and improvements. If you enjoy problem-solving, variety in your work, and working independently across multiple sites, this could be a great fitThis is a customer-focused role, where the successful applicants will service and maintain a wide variety of medical gas plant and equipment in HSE and private hospitals, laboratories, research facilities and universities in the greater Dublin Area (with occasional country work).The hours of the role are Monday to Friday and will require participation in a 24/7 on call rota (approx. 1 week in every 6-7)Some of the duties and responsibilities associated with this role include:Perform service and PPM checks, tests and inspections in accordance with industry standards and hospital requirements.Identify and document items which have changed since previous inspections.Identify and report electrical faults.Identify and report changes in the condition of plant and/or plant rooms.Report any major issues that may/will affect medical gas supply.Submitting job summary and maintenance reports.Maintaining van stocks.Undertake a full range of servicing and reactive maintenance tasks.To be considered for this role you will have a plumbing/pipefitting/ engineering background, with a minimum of 2 years as a Service Engineer, or time-served apprenticeship (preferably plumbing/pipefitting). Competent Person (MGPS) status will be an advantage. This position may also suit qualified Air Conditioning Engineers considering a change or upskilling in this discipline.The ideal candidate will have knowledge of servicing medical gas systems, compressor maintenance and repairs, and knowledge vacuum pumps, gas manifolds, gas outlets, alarms and pressure equipment.
