Role Overview
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Change & Transformation practice, with an immediate deployment to one of our Tier 1 Banking clients in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering Operational Excellence initiatives within the Bank’s Group Customer Office, aligned to its Simpler Business strategic pillar. This is an opportunity to be part of shaping the Bank’s enterprise vision, simplifying processes and systems, reducing operational risk, and improving customer and colleague experiences.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and deliver large-scale transformation programmes from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery against defined business and technical objectives, within agreed time, cost, and quality standards. You will be expected to operate across multiple disciplines, often acting as a project manager, scrum master, business analyst and coach in a single day.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain appropriate initiative governance structures (e.g. DMAIC framework) and communication processes.
* Manage initiative scope, objectives, outputs, and ensure alignment with Simplification objectives.
* Shape and estimate business cases in collaboration with initiative leads, finance, risk, and delivery teams.
* Facilitate workshops, manage backlog collation and prioritisation, and ensure product vision is delivered via MVP/dot releases.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, delivery teams and third parties.
* Drive continuous improvement mindset, challenging current approaches to deliver efficiencies and better customer outcomes.
* Manage operational activities such as cross-charging, invoice approvals and deliverable sign-off.
* Monitor initiative progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where required.
* Ensure initiatives are aligned with key OKRs and KPIs.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven ability to deliver strategic customer, technical, and business change initiatives in the financial services sector.
* Track record of delivering large-scale efficiency and process improvement programmes.
* Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
* Hands-on experience using Lean and Six Sigma tools for process improvement and waste elimination.
* Experience with Jira and Confluence.
* Previous experience as a Scrum Master in an agile environment.
* Lean certification or qualification desirable.
* Formal Project Management qualification (e.g. Prince2, PMP).
