Senior engineer responsible for enterprise Windows and Azure file services, providing SME‑level design, support, and escalation for on‑prem and cloud‑based file platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support:
Windows File Servers
DFS Namespaces & DFS Replication
Serve as L3 escalation point for file access, replication, performance, and availability issues
Manage NTFS & share permissions, quotas, and file security
Lead file share migrations (on‑prem → Azure / hybrid)
Automate administration and health checks using PowerShell
Ensure file services meet security, compliance, and resiliency standards
Mentor L1/L2 engineers and maintain operational documentation
Required Skills:
Strong experience with Windows File Services, DFS, and Azure Files
Advanced PowerShell scripting
Solid Active Directory integration knowledge
Proven troubleshooting skills in enterprise environments.
