Electrical Engineer – Transmission & Distribution Power Division
On behalf of an international engineering company, I am seeking an Electrical Engineer on a permanent staff basis to join the Transmission & Distribution Power Division. The office choice is Cork or Waterford.
This role will provide key technical support across the full project lifecycle—from initial enquiry and tendering through to construction, commissioning, and energisation. The successful candidate will join the Power & Renewables engineering team, contributing to electrical installations up to 400kV and helping to influence the ongoing development of the department.
Responsibilities
Lead engineering activities for the design, development, and delivery of HV substation and grid connection projects.
Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure technical compliance.
Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases, ensuring adherence to standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Electrical engineering qualification.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering.
Strong understanding of HV and MV network requirements in industrial or power sector environments.
