Job Title: Maintenance Operative
Our organization is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, conducting inspections, and ensuring facilities are secure and functioning efficiently.
* Conduct daily building inspections to identify hazards, damage, or maintenance requirements.
* Monitor the general condition of facilities and report any irregularities promptly.
* Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, fixing door handles and locks, and basic plumbing tasks.
* Assist with routine upkeep to ensure a safe and functional environment.
* Report major maintenance issues to the Facility Manager for escalation.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a caretaker, general operative, or maintenance role, along with basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair tools.
* Previous experience in a caretaker, general operative, or maintenance role preferred.
* Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair tools.
* Ability to work shifts and respond to issues proactively.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
* PSA license an advantage for building access and security functions.
