This very successful client base with their HQ in Dublin is seeking a capable and customer-focused Security Systems Service Engineer / Technician to support a hybrid embedded role, combining on-site support for a key client (multiple days per week) with general service delivery across the wider region.
This person will be based in Galway.
This role provides a balanced mix of structured client engagement and broader field service activity.
You will support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing operation of the full electronic security suite, including Access Control, CCTV, and Intruder Detection systems, working as part of Comapny's wider Service Team.
This position is well suited to an engineer looking to build experience in enterprise environments without the responsibility of a fully embedded technical lead role.
You will need a full clean licence for this role.
What Youll Be Doing Provide on-site support to a key client as part of a scheduled hybrid embedded arrangement Deliver reactive and planned service activities across the wider region Carry out maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on Access Control, CCTV, and Intruder Detection systems Support minor works, upgrades, and system enhancements Perform testing, verification, and basic commissioning activities Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled Accurately complete service reports and system documentation Liaise professionally with client contacts and internal teams Escalate complex or critical technical issues to Service Management in line with service procedures.
Support Convergint service delivery standards and customer satisfaction objectives Working Pattern & On-Call Support This role combines scheduled on-site client support with field-based service work.
There may be an expectation to participate in a rotational on-call duty roster for emergency situations only,providing support toboth the client site and the wider region, in line with standard service operations.
What Youll Bring 24 years experience in the electronic security industry Practical experience working with: Access Control systems CCTV / IP CCTV systems Intruder Detection systems Basic understanding of IP networking and security system integration Experience in service, maintenance, or installation support roles Ability to diagnose and resolve common system faults Good communication and customer-facing skills Organised, reliable,and capable of working both independently and as part of a team Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Full clean Irish driving licence Desirable (but not essential) Experience working in enterprise or corporate environments Exposure to SLA-driven service delivery Familiarity with service management or ticketing systems Who You Are You are a dependable and proactive security systems engineer or technician who enjoys variety in your role.
