During your apprenticeship, you will be paid a weekly wage, financially supported for travel to college, or provided with accommodation.

With BAM's construction sites located across the country, we endeavour to place you in a location of your choice—helping you answer the question, "What if my future starts here?" Your mission
On completion of this four-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified carpenter and joiner, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Carpentry and Joinery.This apprenticeship is a 4 year programme consisting of 7 phases.
4 on-the-job and 3 off-the-job in a training facility.By the end of your training, you will be able to:Work with a variety of specialised hand and power toolsConstruct various types of flooring, roofing and partitionsFabricate and erect the formwork for walls, columns, floors and stairsConstruct various types of doors and windowsConstruct fittingsWork with wood and allied materialsWork with technical drawings and diagramsComply with health and safety requirementsBe accurate with measuring and craft calculationsWork at heights and carry/left heavy items.Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a school or college leaver who is looking to start their career in the construction industry.
You'll need good communication skills, be an excellent team worker but also be able to use your initiative.As this is an apprenticeship, you must be prepared to work towards your qualification whilst also working on site and gaining the experience you need to succeed.
To undertake this apprenticeship, you must: Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a QQI Level 5 (or equivalent).
Have a Pass Grade in Maths & English at Level 5 (or Equivalent) at time of start date.What's in it for you?
