About Your Role
We’re looking for a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) with expertise in Kubernetes to join our team. This is a hands-on, highly visible role where you’ll combine your technical skills, storytelling ability, and marketing instincts to create and deliver world-class technical content that inspires architects, platform engineers, and developers to adopt Calico. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product management, sales engineering, and the Calico community to understand new features, build compelling demos, and translate complex capabilities into clear, actionable value for our prospects and customers.
* You’ll be a visible voice in the Kubernetes and cloud-native community, representing the most widely adopted Kubernetes networking and security solution.
* You’ll have creative freedom to experiment with content formats—from hands-on demos to short social videos to deep-dive technical blogs.
* You’ll work with a passionate, knowledgeable team that values technical excellence and authentic storytelling.
If you’re excited about combining technical depth, community engagement, and storytelling to help the world’s leading organisations understand and adopt Calico, we’d love to hear from you.
For this position, we are looking to hire in Cork, Ireland (Hybrid).

Platform engineering focused: hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (K8s), plus a passion for teaching, training, and helping others learn best practices.
You Will Be the Face of Calico in the Community
Present at webinars, meetups, and conferences (including KubeCon) to educate and inspire technical audiences.
Engage actively on platforms like LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Reddit, and Dev.to, sharing high-quality content and participating in conversations where Kubernetes architects and developers gather.
Work closely with Customers and the Calico open-source community, listening to feedback, learning how users solve problems, and sharing those insights internally.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally
Partner with product management and engineering to understand new features in depth and bring them to market effectively.
Enable sales engineers with the right technical narratives, demos, and proof points to close deals.
