We are looking for a Junior IT Helpdesk Support to join the Operations team.
The successful candidate will be required to provide IT support to local users and also be involved in other IT projects. This role is varied; no two days are the same and thus strong multitasking skills are required. This role is suited to someone who enjoys teamwork but is also motivated to work alone on tasks.
Initially, this is a role with a contract duration of 1 year.
As a Junior IT Helpdesk Support you will act as a
* Support contact for end users, troubleshooting hardware and software.
* Point of contact for IT queries.
* Deliver customer service standards by reacting to requests promptly, remaining courteous and professional always.
* Working as part of an IT team, you will work to both individual and group targets.
* Report to the IT Manager.
* Be available on Google Chat and by emails during working hours.
* This list is not exhaustive and might be complemented by reasonable and related tasks that are requested of you.
* Able to work in-house in Kilkenny, Ireland.
Requirements
* Previous 1-2 years' experience in an IT Support/Helpdesk Support Role.
* Knowledge of Network and Storage technologies.
* Experience in installing, configuring and repairing PCs/Laptops/Printers/Scanners.
* Experience in supporting end users in MS Windows desktop operating systems, MS Office, Google docs, Apple & Android phones.
* Experience in using Linux is an advantage.
* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to support and communicate with users on all levels.
* Sound troubleshooting and analytical skills who use own initiative with ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
* Ability to take ownership, prioritise workload and complete tasks in an effective and timely manner.
* Fluent English both verbal & written.
* Full clean driver’s licence desirable.
