General Responsibilities and Duties:
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the home.
* Responsible for all aspects of cleaning within the home, including bedrooms and communal areas.
* Ensuring that all cleaning products/chemicals and equipment are used and stored appropriately. Report any defects of faults with equipment used.
* Being aware of all health and safety regulations, reporting hazards immediately.
* Responsible for all laundry, including washing, ironing and distributing clothes.
* Replenish hand towels, soap and toilet paper in all areas of the home.
* Maintain floor surfaces to agreed acceptable standards.
* Ensure that each resident is treated with dignity and respect.
* Participate in mandatory training.
* Comply with all Nursing Home policies and procedures.
* All other duties as requested by Management
Skills and Experience Required
* Ensure that health and safety policy is strictly adhered to.
* Experience working in a healthcare setting advantageous but not essential
* Excellent communication skills
* Can work independently or part of a team
* Fluent in English language (verbal and written) and be eligible to work in Ireland
All posts are subject to satisfactory references, medical and Garda vetting.
This role includes 10 hour shifts and will also require working every second weekend, as part of a 4 day week.
