Senior Networks & Security Engineer – Limerick – €70,000 + Benefits
A leading managed services provider is seeking a Senior Networks & Security Engineer to join its growing team in Limerick. This is a broad and impactful role, combining design, delivery, project work, and technical leadership with the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and support pre-sales engagements.
The environment is varied and customer-facing, covering Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and SASE solutions. You’ll be involved in delivering complex projects for enterprise customers, while also rolling up your sleeves to support the wider engineering team when required.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Designing and delivering network and security solutions across Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and SASE
* Leading project work from scoping through to implementation and handover
* Providing technical oversight and guidance to junior engineers
* Supporting pre-sales activities alongside the sales team (solution scoping, input into proposals)
* Assisting with support escalations when needed – hands-on and collaborative approach
* Acting as a trusted technical advisor to a diverse set of MSP customers
What You’ll Bring:
* Strong background in networking and security engineering within an MSP or service provider environment
* Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto technologies
* Familiarity with SASE architectures and their role in enterprise networking
* Experience in design, delivery, and project implementation
* Confident in mentoring and supporting more junior colleagues
* Customer-facing skills, with the ability to engage on both technical and business levels
