Job Title: Junior Buyer
Location: Co. Cork
About the Role:
As a junior buyer you will support the Buying Team by managing product and pricing data, ensuring supplier catalogues are accurate, and assisting with promotions and e-commerce updates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update supplier catalogues and pricing information.
- Process approved price changes.
- Respond to product-related queries from store management.
- Support e-commerce by updating product details and prices online.
- Monitor stock levels, especially for core and seasonal items.
- Create and maintain supplier margin reports.
- Benchmark prices and products against competitors.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other business documents.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced office environment.
- Relevant qualification in purchasing or business administration.
- Strong IT skills, especially Excel (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with business intelligence tools is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
