Installation Specialist
About the Role:
This position involves performing installation tasks for audio visual projects, including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects, and metal fabrication.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Pull cable, install connectors, mount projects, and perform metal fabrication for audio visual installations.
2. Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints to inform project setup.
3. Utilize hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors, as well as complete various other AV systems-related tasks.
4. Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and rack wiring.
5. Install projector and screen support structures.
6. Test point-to-point functionality of systems.
7. Mentor Level I Technicians in their development.
8. Provide daily job site status updates to Project Managers.
9. Collaborate with manufacturers to initiate return material authorizations as needed.
10. Review equipment lists with customers upon delivery.
11. Travel to job sites as required.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
1. Effective communication with employees, customers, and colleagues is essential.
2. Able to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
3. Ability to work independently and ensure deadlines are met.
4. Basic computer knowledge is necessary.
5. Familiarity with signal flow for audio, video, and control systems is preferred.
Education and Experience:
1. Minimum 2 years of experience in audiovisual installation is preferred.
