Automation Technician (12-Month Fixed Term Contract) Salary:€42,000 - €45,000 Location:Dublin, Republic of Ireland About the Role I am hiring for a client in a modern manufacturing facility equipped with advanced plastic injection molding machines and automation equipment, you will play a vital role in supporting and developing technology to improve production lines.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract based in North Dublin.
Key Responsibilities Support the development and continuous improvement of new and existing technology to enhance production quality, profitability, and safety.
Plan, schedule, and execute projects while communicating progress to meet targeted timelines.
Assist in facility expansion and modifications.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automation equipment, ensuring machine safety and consistent product quality.
Develop and maintain validation and project management documentation.
Collaborate daily with engineering management and shift teams, participating in routine project reviews.
Analyse production data to ensure automation lines meet output targets and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Automation equipment includes assembly machines, label applicators, robots, end-of-arm tooling, separators, and test equipment.
Skills and Experience Associates Degree in a relevant engineering field required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years experience in the medical device or other regulated industries.
Experience supporting technical project management is highly desirable.
Familiarity with quality systems, FDA Quality System Regulation, cGMP, and relevant ISO standards.
Ability to exert up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently and move safely around the facility.

Shift premium available for shift work.
Additional Information Up to 5% travel (approximately 13 business days per year).
Ability to work a 40-hour week with overtime or irregular hours as needed.
Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to plastic molding equipment and related conditions.
