Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment Manager to lead our health and safety initiatives.
This is a full-time permanent position that will provide the opportunity to develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs aligned with legal requirements, industry standards, and client expectations.
* Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
* Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting, ensuring timely corrective actions and continuous improvement.
* Provide expert health, safety, and environmental advice and support to project teams during all phases.
* Collaborate closely with health, safety, and environment officers, operation teams, client representatives, and subcontractors to embed safe working practices and environmental stewardship into daily operations.
* Drive health, safety, and environmental training and awareness programs to build competency and engagement across all teams.
* Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental performance metrics, ensuring transparency and effective communication with senior management and stakeholders.
* Facilitate client health, safety, and environmental audits and site visits, acting as the primary point of contact for all health, safety, and environmental matters.
Requirements:
* Demonstrable experience as a health, safety, and environment manager or similar role within construction, mechanical, electrical, or data centre sectors, understanding the unique health, safety, and environmental challenges they present.
* Strong knowledge of European health, safety, and environmental legislation, standards, and industry best practices (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
* Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or International Diploma and equivalent environmental qualifications.
