We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused Field Service Engineer based in Leinster to join our team. This is a field-based role supporting our customers directly on their sites — not an in-house maintenance position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, calibration, and repair of weighbridges and related equipment, as well as providing fast and effective support for breakdowns. You will represent our company on customer sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This position requires someone who is technically competent, self-motivated, and confident in managing their own workload and schedule while maintaining strong communication with customers and the support team.
The role will include technical training and ongoing office-based support to assist the engineer in completing their site-based activities.

As a Field Service Engineer in the weighing industry, you'll manage a customer portfolio, delivering on-site and remote support through breakdown response, preventative maintenance, equipment calibration, and technical fault resolution.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a field service or mobile maintenance role, working on customer sites
* Mechanical background, ideally with hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy plant or industrial machinery
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward customer service
* Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel across Leinster

Responsibilities:
Service & Maintenance of Weighbridges:
* Plan visits with customers
* Carry out service & maintenance of weighbridges to required standards
Breakdowns and Technical Resolutions:
* Respond to customer call-outs
* Diagnose and repair equipment
* Escalate repairs to Sales, where further work is required
* Inform customer where work will be chargeable and outside of existing cover
Calibration & Verification of Equipment:
* Carry out testing of weighing equipment to required standard
* Submit reports in required format for Trading Standards
Administration:
* Complete worksheets in a timely manner
* Manage stocks to ensure parts available when required
* Maintain company equipment assigned to the engineer
* Communicate issues outside of the engineer's scope to the Service Manager
