Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Horseshoe Bar & Restaurant in Listowel. This pivotal role involves overseeing food quality, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring smooth daily operations to delight our guests.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
* Develop innovative menus that reflect local flavors and culinary trends.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to optimize kitchen operations.
* Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
* Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure excellent customer service.
* Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as needed.
Qualifications
* Proven supervising experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment.
* Extensive culinary skills with a strong background in food production and preparation.
* Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
* Previous experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef is preferred.
