Assistant Store Manager
My client based in Dublin City Centre is recruiting an Assistant Manager who will be very much a hands-on manager working amongst your team of ten, guiding them in offering first class customer service and excellent product knowledge.
This is a beautiful store in a prime location in the city centre, a high turnover, high volume business with a really nice customer base.
You will have a background in working with large volumes of stock and with a proven track record of people management and getting the best out of your team.
You will also support your Store Manager in hitting store KPI' and targets and with all visual and commercial aspects of the business.
I welcome fashion, non-fashion, or grocery retail candidates.
You will work closely with the Store Manager (I placed him, and he is a fantastic guy) who also manages another store in the city, therefore in his absence you will have extra responsibility.
Salary is €40K plus 10% bonus paid monthly bringing the total package to €44,000.
During peak season which is March to August the store opens betweeen 9pm and 10pm so late shifts and weekends are part of this job.
Key Responsibilities for the job of Assistant Store Manager
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the store
2. Motivate the sales team to ensure that the stores KPI's are consistently delivered
3. Ensure that the store is commercially merchandised and visually appealing
4. Provide customer feedback to the head office buying and merchandising teams
5. Ensure staff are upselling and providing alternatives to increase sales
6. Minimise stock loss and organise stocktakes
7. Analyse sales reports and KPI's and use the information to make commercial decisions
8. Champion superior customer service in store
9. Coach and develop a team on product knowledge, sales skills, and service
10. Monitor on an ongoing basis staff attendance, timekeeping, and productivity
