The Role
As an IT Program Manager, you'll lead a major cloud migration and transformation initiative, overseeing planning, delivery, and governance across multiple workstreams. You'll ensure technical excellence, alignment with strategic goals, and on-time, on-budget delivery - while coordinating program activities across teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
You'll sit within the IT Program & Portfolio team, reporting to the Program & Portfolio Leader, and collaborate closely with business and technical leaders across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the IT stream of a large-scale transformation program, ensuring successful delivery against scope, schedule, and budget.
* Coordinate cross-project activities and dependencies across multiple project teams.
* Lead and support Project Managers, ensuring alignment with program goals and governance.
* Develop and maintain integrated program plans, budgets, and timelines.
* Track and report on program KPIs and performance metrics, driving data-informed decisions.
* Manage risks and embed effective risk management processes from the outset.
* Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly to IT and business leadership.
* Oversee program steering meetings, producing high-quality updates and reports.
* Work collaboratively with technical teams, business units, and suppliers to ensure the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
* Ensure adherence to internal IT governance frameworks, standards, and delivery methodologies.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience delivering Cloud Migration programs (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
* Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
* Extensive experience as a Program Manager leading large-scale IT initiatives.
* Experience managing within matrixed, geographically dispersed environments.
* Strong understanding of Agile principles and software development life cycles.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
* Skilled in MS Office and MS Project; strong reporting and presentation capabilities.
* Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and drive consensus across teams.
* Solid technical understanding of software development, infrastructure, and security programs.
* Ability to work independently with ownership for end-to-end program delivery.
Desirable:
* Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
* Experience in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries.
