The Ashdown Park Hotel have an exciting new job opportunity for a maintenance/accommodation porterSuitable Candidate must previously experience in a maintenance roleKey Responsibilities Of This Role AreCarry out day-to-day maintenance tasks across multiple areas with a key focus on bedroom & accommodation areasRespond promptly to urgent maintenance issues, especially those affecting safety or business continuityPerform general upkeep of guest rooms, public spaces, and staff areasWork closely with contractors for specialist repairs and ensure standards are maintainedEnsure all work is completed with a strong focus on safety, especially during trading hoursKeep clear and accurate maintenance records, thru snapfixStore and maintain tools and equipment safely and appropriatelyCommunicate regularly with the Department Manager and relevant site managers on task progressEscalate larger or specialist issues to be handled by external contractors when necessaryRemain flexible and willing to support across all departments as requiredBe able to clean hotel bedrooms and public areas to company standard. All training provided on siteKeep your area of work clean & tidyTo maximise guest satisfaction by maintaining standards of cleanliness & hygiene in your assigned bedrooms, corridors and public areas.To clean assigned bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas and to ensure stocks of bathroom and bedrooms items are replenished to correct standards.To greet all guests in a warm, friendly and courteous fashion and to maintain a professional manner at all timesKey Requirements2-3 years' experience in a similar maintenance rolePractical skills in areas such as painting, plumbing, basic building work, or general repairsGood awareness and understanding of health & safety practicesExcellent communication and organisation skillsStrong attention to detail and a proactive approach to task managementFluent English (written and spoken)A qualification in electrical work is an advantage but not essentialFriendly outgoing personalityExcellent customer service skills and interpersonal skillsStandards driven and detail-orientated.Ability to multi-task in fast-paced essential for this roleGood Time managementFlexible with regards to hours.BenefitsFull training on siteInternal promotional options available to the right candidateStaff meals provided on duty.Free Car parkingReduced Gym membership rates availableReduced spa treatment and product rates available.
