The Cavan Autism Centre CLG provides an autism specific day service that enables each individual to develop and reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment.
As we continue to expand to provide additional services to meet the needs of those we support, we currently have a number of support worker opportunities within our day service.
The support worker plays a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred support to those that attend our day service. The purpose of the role is to empower individuals to live fulfilling lives by promoting independence, building on their strengths, and supporting them to engage in meaningful activities both within the service and in the wider community.
The role involves providing direct support with daily routines, communication, social interaction, and personal development, while always upholding the dignity, rights, and choices of the individuals we support.
The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about helping autistic adults live fulfilling, independent lives. You'll need to be a great communicator, and committed to promoting choice, dignity, and inclusion.

Requirements:
· Desirable – QQI Level 7/8 in Social Care or related field. A Level 6 in Special Needs Assisting with experience in a similar role may also be considered.
· Registered with CORU or in the process of registration.
· Additional qualification in supporting adults with Autism or Challenging Behaviour would be desirable.
· Full, clean driving license is essential.
· Minimum 2 years+ experience working with adults on the Autism Spectrum.
· Strong IT skills
