Job Title: Medical Secretary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised medical secretary to manage patient appointments, maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality. This role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
* Manage patient scheduling, rescheduling and confirming visits.
* Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with relevant regulations.
* Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients providing information about services and procedures.
* Assist with billing and insurance claims processing ensuring accuracy in documentation.
* Coordinate communication between physicians, patients and other medical staff for seamless operations.
* Prepare and organise medical documents reports and correspondence as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Previous office experience preferably within a medical or healthcare setting.
* Administrative experience showcasing skills in managing office tasks efficiently.
* Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures is an advantage.
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written are necessary for effective interaction with patients and staff.
* Proficiency in using office software applications is required to perform daily tasks effectively.
